1911 Govt. Aluminum Mainspring Housing Snakeskin
These precision machined, USA-made Mainspring Housings are made from aerospace Aluminium. Using the most advanced laser technology, these are deeply engraved with ALTAMONT®-exclusive textures, carefully designed for style and functionality. A standard machine-checkered option is also available.

ALTAMONT® Mainspring Housings come with a 23 lb. mainspring, cap, cap pin, and retainer pin fully loaded into the mainspring housing and ready for installation.

These Mainspring Housings will fit Government, Commander, and other full-size 1911's. They will NOT fit Officer/Compact 1911's, or Bobtail/Roundback models.

Note: In most cases, the mainspring housing will drop-in for easy installation. However, all 1911 frames vary; some fitting may be required.
